Account Management

1.Are all my service addresses listed in My Account?

Yes, all your service addresses within the past 12 months are listed when you log in to My Account. Simply select the service address you wish to view.

2.Does NJNG have a mobile app?

Download the New Jersey Natural Gas app for your Android and iOS devices for free. The New Jersey Natural Gas app provides a fast and secure way to log in and manage your NJNG account.

3.How do I know when my guest-user access has been activated?

You will receive an email letting you know when your guest has activated their guest-user account. Once it is activated, the guest user status will be reflected in your My Account portal.

4.How many guest users can I have on My Account?

You’ll have the ability to assign up to two guest users with access to help manage your NJNG account. You can assign either read-only or full access to the guest users, and each will have their unique login information.

5.If I purchase my natural gas from a supplier other than NJNG, what information will appear in My Account?

Only charges billed by NJNG will appear in your My Account portal. If you currently receive your natural gas from a third-party supplier, your billing and meter information will not appear in My Account. We recommend you directly contact your supplier for payment information.

6.Is my personal information in My Account secure?

Your safety and security are always a priority. Your personally identifiable information (such as an account number or credit card information), is protected from unauthorized access using commercially reasonable measures. We use commonly available security techniques to protect the security of your online information. For more information, view our privacy statement.

7.What if my email address changes?

To update your email address, log in to My Account, click on My Profile at the left navigation bar then select Update Email Address. Please note NJNG requires your current email address to ensure successful delivery of paperless billing.

8.What if my mailing address, name, or other information is incorrect in My Account?

Login to My Account and click on My Profile to update your information.

9.What if there is more than one meter on my account when using the NJNG online portal?

Information for multiple meters, under the same account, is available in My Account. After viewing the information on the first meter, click on the “Next Meter” button to see information on the other meters.

10.What is a guest user?

A guest user is someone you can assign to help manage your NJNG online account. As the owner of the account, you can assign them read-only or full access and an allotted time this user can access your NJNG online account.

11.What is My Account?

My Account provides online access 24/7 to our convenient self-service options to help make managing your NJNG account easier. With My Account, you can:

  • View and pay your bill
  • See your current balance and next due date
  • Sign up for paperless billing
  • Enroll in automatic payments
  • Choose the equal pay plan
  • Access previous billing and usage history
  • See your next scheduled meter read
  • Start and stop service
  • And more

And you can register your other NJNG accounts in My Account using your same username and password.

12.Why doesn't the page display when I hit a button in My Account?

To view the page, turn off your pop-up blocker function or minimize your current web page window.

13.Why is my information not recognized when registering for My Account?

Your account number is automatically generated when you open an account. If you provide an email address at that time, you will receive a confirmation email with your NJNG billing account number.

Please be sure you enter your name and account number exactly as it appears on your NJNG bill.
